Reasons Why Logistics Jobs Are Chosen

1. Salary Increases
Based on the Type of Vehicle Driven
The salary of a logistics driver varies depending on the type of vehicle driven (semi-medium, medium, large).
Driving larger vehicles can lead to an increase in salary, making it possible to earn between 4.5 million to over 7.5 million yen annually.
In particular, there is a shortage of drivers for large trucks, and salaries have been trending upwards year by year. If you become a driver for long-haul routes with large trucks, you can aim for high income.

2. Various
Working Styles of Logistics Drivers
Logistics drivers have various ways of working, unlike other driving professions.
There are many types of driving jobs, such as "parcel delivery driver," "long-haul driver," "food transport driver," and "moving driver.".
Each type of driver job is completely different, so foreign nationals can choose the type of driver work that they find most comfortable and suitable.

Required License: Regular License
Parcel delivery drivers handle everything from receiving small packages, collecting, delivering, and collecting delivery fees.

Required License: Semi-Medium/Medium/Large License
Food transport drivers regularly transport food materials and food from the warehouses of food manufacturers to stores such as supermarkets and convenience stores.

Required License: Semi-Medium/Medium/Large License
Moving drivers pick up moving goods and transport them to the requested destination. They also pack the goods to be picked up, load them onto the truck, unload them at the destination, and carry them to the room.

Required License: Medium/Large License
Long-distance drivers drive more than 300 km one way. The items transported by long-distance drivers vary, including food, daily necessities, and construction materials.

3. Training and Support System
Logistics companies offer comprehensive training and support systems for those with no experience.
About 60% of new hires for logistics driver positions are inexperienced, so there is training available to become a proficient driver.
You will receive detailed instruction from veteran drivers, including how to handle cargo, drive on public roads, and techniques for operating trucks.
Even foreign nationals with no prior experience can start with confidence.

Logistics Drivers Are
a field where foreign nationals can thrive easily!

To work as a logistics driver, a Japanese language proficiency of N4 level or higher is required. Compared to the requirement of N3 level or higher for taxi and bus drivers, logistics drivers provide a more accessible opportunity for foreign nationals who have not yet reached N3 level.
Additionally, there are approximately 63,000 logistics companies nationwide (as of the end of March 2024). There are many opportunities to work as a logistics driver.
Female Logistics Drivers Are
Also Active!

The number of female logistics drivers across the country has been steadily increasing year by year.
As the scope for women's participation expands, the logistics industry is also developing diverse working styles tailored to individual circumstances.
For example, there are flexible working hours that accommodate childcare, tasks with less physical strain, and facilities that ensure women can work comfortably and for a long time. The environment has become more favorable for women, so we encourage women to consider pursuing a career as a logistics driver.
